They now seek a head of distribution for their DFM to join their team. You will report directly to the MD.
JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- You will be required to lead and drive the development and execution of a comprehensive distribution, marketing and sales strategy for the discretionary fund manager (DFM) business. This includes fostering key relationships with distribution channels, financial advisers and asset managers while ensuring the effective promotion of the business offerings;
- You will be required to be dedicated to implementing sales and growth strategies, creating brand awareness, and representing our business at client, industry and asset manager events, ultimately contributing to the success and expansion of our DFM business;
- You will be required to possess a strong combination of investment knowledge, strategic sales orientated and leadership skills to manage a distribution team. They will work closely with key internal stakeholders such as investment teams, marketing and channel leadership to drive asset growth;
- You will be required to align with the company’s purpose and strategy to ensure the distribution team is in sync with the company’s purpose and strategy;
- You will be required to own, develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan, for each channel i.e. IFA, consult and tied to ensure a focused approach;
- You will be required to support sales target achievement by enabling the company to meet sales targets through the distribution team;
- You will be required to drive efficiency and innovative distribution approaches by leveraging any data analytics and emerging technology;
- You will be required to enhance DFM and investment consulting proposition by strengthening the value proposition of the DFM and investment consulting on various LISP platforms;
- You will be required to lead the distribution team to empower sales channels by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively promote our capabilities;
- You will be required to strategically elevate the company’s market presence using both traditional and innovative methods;
- You will be required to implement and execute the distribution strategy to boost net flows into the company;
- You will be required to support and enable the various distribution channels to boost the company’s market presence, support sales targets and effectively promote our financial solutions;
- You will be required to support financial advisers by creating tailored content, analysing data to reinforce investment messages and facilitating their transition into portfolios;
- You will be required to drive innovation and growth by generating creative solutions for business challenges and exploring unique techniques to boost transition rates into model portfolios while identifying growth opportunities;
- You will be required, in partnership with marketing, to ensure impactful events and campaigns to enhance the company’s brand presence and asset growth;
- You will be required to represent the company by participating as a company representative in conferences, investment panels, asset management and industry events;
- You will be required to represent the company on designated internal committees and ensure timely, accurate submission of all relevant sales reports to the executive committee (Exco);
- You will be required to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to investment distribution;
- You will be required to strengthen DFM business through thorough competitor analysis and leverage trend analysis insights to drive asset transitions into company solutions;
- You will be required to continuously monitor the level of impact sales strategy is delivering and identify areas of improvement.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in finance or investments; you understand the DFM offering and are confident to market and provide solutions in this space;
- You are a CFP, CFA level 1 or equivalent;
- You have a minimum of 8 – 10 years’ current, relevant experience in the investment industry in a distribution environment;
- You have a minimum of 5 years current, relevant asset management, business development experience;
- You have an understanding of Investment strategies and regulatory requirements;
- You have sales acumen, demonstratable ability to balance long-term relationship building and sales opportunities with short-term commercial targets;
- You are results orientated, highly organised, with strong project management and prioritisation skills.
