They now seek a head of sales, international offering to join their team. You will report to the executive head. BRAND NEW ROLE!

 

JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • You will be responsible for drive the company sales strategy of various segments including tied, independent financial advisors (IFA) and partners. In addition to driving the sales strategy to deliver on the company’s overall target, you will provide support to the sales team, identifying knowledge gaps and training of specialists and sales support staff and handling escalated client queries;
  • You will be required to work closely with various stakeholders across this business and the wider group to ensure effective integration of the company’s sales strategy;
  • You will be required to lead the company brand by developing and executing robust sales strategies across all segments of the company business, including tied and independent advisers, international advisers, partners and corporates;
  • You will be responsible for ensuring alignment across the digital business and the Distribution business regarding product, marketing and investment support teams;
  • You will be required to oversee international sales execution across company’s key focus areas;
  • You will be required to develop and implement national / regional operational and business plans that support strategic objectives and performance targets;
  • You will be required to provide strategic leadership to the sales teams, ensuring effective execution and high-performance delivery;
  • You will be required to engage in regular regional travel to support business development, deepen intermediary relationships and expand distribution panels;
  • You will be required to champion the company’s value proposition and strengthen brand positioning within key distribution channels;
  • You will be required to collaborate with the Multi Manager, executives, portfolio managers and stockbrokers, where required;
  • You will be required to manage budgets and ensure financial discipline across all sales initiatives and activities;
  • You will be required to identify, implement and oversee risk and control processes within the sales environment;
  • You will be required to stay informed on industry and regulatory developments to ensure strategic readiness and compliance;
  • You will be required to drive operational excellence by monitoring performance, enhancing processes and ensuring continuous improvement across the sales function.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  •   You have a relevant financial / investment qualification (financial tertiary qualification); at a minimum of honours level; CFA part a distinct advantage
  • You have a minimum of 8 – 10 years’ current, relevant experience in a financial distribution environment leading a team; knowledge of the international products and relevant nuances in this space is essential
  •   You have strong, technical knowledge ininternational investments, investment industry and trends; this is not negotiable
  • You must be willing to travel locally and internationally;
  • You have sales distribution models and value chains knowledge;
  • You have market segmentation, marketing and sales principles knowledge;
  • You have remuneration models, payroll and commission structures knowledge;
  • You have strategy development and business planning knowledge;
  • You have entity structures, legal / tax requirements and risk management skills;
  • You have business metrics, budgeting and financial oversight knowledge.
