Our client has grown to become one of Africa’s largest investment management companies. This company is an investment management firm focussed on building long-term wealth for their clients. The company’s primary goal is to achieve long term wealth creation for its clients.
They now seek a brand manager to join their team. You will report directly to the marketing manager. Newly crafted role and new structure to ensure everyone plays to their expertise and strengths.
JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- You will be required to support the marketing manager with brand-related projects, including media and advertising, across both the retail and institutional investment businesses;
- Brand and advertising:
- You will be required to manage assigned brand-related projects under the supervision of the marketing manager;
- You will be required to work closely with third-party advertising and fulfilment agencies on assigned brand projects;
- You will be required to provide advertising agency with strategic direction on proposed creative;
- You will be required to guide the creative development process to completion on assigned projects;
- You will be required to execute all projects in line with the corporate identity;
- You will be required to compile creative and media briefs;
- You will be required to provide input for media strategy and planning, as well as campaign budget management for identified projects;
- You will be required to understand various research methodologies, interpret research results and formulate clear action plans in response to research insights;
- You will be required to manage assigned branded collateral;
- Internal stakeholders:
- You will be required to work closely with stakeholders by providing marketing expertise across identified projects:
- Digital marketing team in the day-to-day execution of brand projects to optimise user journeys across the relevant sections of the website and to ensure the corporate site is aligned to the corporate identity;
- Content team as part of the execution of brand-related projects;
- Retail events and distribution teams to execute client-related projects and events;
- You will be required to work closely with stakeholders by providing marketing expertise across identified projects:
- Legislative requirements:
- You will be required to translate legislative requirements into implementable brand projects;
- You will be required to manage the implementation of assigned product/technical-related legislative requirements;
- Leadership requirements:
- You will be required to demonstrate leadership skills;
- You will be required to show integrity and ethical awareness;
- You will be required to ensure effective peer working relationships.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- You have a bachelor’s degree and ideally a postgraduate diploma in addition, in commerce and marketing;
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ current, relevant experience in brand, media and advertising; in the services industry or financial services;
- You have a proven track record of brand, media and advertising management;
- You have demonstrable technical marketing skills;
- You have company product knowledge – this would be a distinct advantage. This is knowledge of the institutional and retail investment space.
